Graphic design shapes nearly every aspect of our lives, even infiltrating into pop culture. Think about the different graphic design elements you see in a typical day. Someone designed the logo on your bottle of shampoo, and someone else designed the interior of your car. A designer created your clothing and the label inside that shirt. You pass ads on billboards as you drive to work, and you see them online and on TV as well. We interact with design so many different times each day that it would be impossible to count them all. Design impacts our lives, and vice versa.

Design Is Worth More Than Words

Good design has more speaking power than words and says more with less space. You’ve probably heard the old saying that a picture is worth 1,000 words. Images are a significant part of the design process and design also says more than words alone. Design is more than just images, though. Even the font you use has a personality which speaks to the viewer. Each element of your design brings a message to the user and helps enhance certain emotions.
